PVS & CSL training is allowed but the following procedure MUST be followed:
The on-line form must be printed and taken with you to the training. The training MUST be signed by the trainer.
alternate officials training verification form
After the form has been filled out and signed it needs to be submitted to the designated ODSL board member for the training to count. Alternate training dates will be posted as they become available.
VHSL certifications are no longer allowed in the ODSL. The primary reason for this exclusion is the differences in the stroke evaluation in Breaststroke, Backstroke and Fly. VHSL rules are more liberal in stroke mechanics. Additionally, the VHSL training is not consistent and many VHSL officials simply review the book and take an online test.
